About All Saints

All Saints is an Australian televison show screened on Channel Seven at 8:30pm (for 60 min) Tuesday nights (usually rated [M]). It is a fictional drama series set in a Sydney suburban hospital called All Saints Western General Hospital. In 2004 the show was radically changed with a new setting (Emergency) and new faces.

Up until then, All Saints focused on the lives of the nurses of Ward 17 - AKA the "garbage ward" because it took patients that other wards did not have beds for. The show debuted on Australian screens on the 24th Febuary, 1998. The external shots (the sweeping shots of the skyline and hospital) are filmed at the Concord Repatriation Hospital. Ku-Ring Gai Hospital in Sydney has also been used for external filming and other filming eg. the operating theatres.

From the Channel Seven website: This thrilling medical drama is set in suburban Sydney hospital All Saints General Western. Focusing on the medical staff that work in the busy Emergency Department, it gives viewers a glimpse into their professional lives and fascinating personal lives.

All Saints is one of Australia's most loved and enduring television dramas. Beginning in 1998, it has featured some of the nation's most acclaimed actors including John Howard and Georgie Parker. At the 2006 Logies it was nominated for Most Popular Drama and the Silver Logie: Most Outstanding Drama Series.

As described in Aftonbladet tv (Sweden)!: The devil is in the sordid personal details at All Saints Western General Hospital, the setting for this smash hit Australian drama series. The lives of the medical staff that make up Ward 17 make for very torrid and salacious entertainment. Discover the guilty pleasures of this saucy series from down under.
